What’s is Zac’s Place?
It is a house for short to medium term emergency accommodation for Veterans, Serving or Ex-service personnel and their families to stay when visiting Townsville or who live locally. It is owned and operated by the Queensland Branch of the Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia. It can accommodate up to 7 people in an alcohol free Environment.
We have 3 single rooms and 2 double rooms.
No matter what your reason for visiting Townsville you will find a safe and welcoming atmosphere at Zac’s Place.
Zac’s Place is situated in Kirwan close to major shopping centres, bus services, cinema, banks, the Vietnam Veterans Counselling Service, Dairy Farmers Stadium and many other amenities.
Costs: $35 per night single
$55 per night double
$170 per week
$340 per f/night
ARE THERE ANY RULES ?
There are a minimum of restrictions and the main ones are no alcohol or drugs, except prescription drugs.
There is no smoking inside the house, but there is a under cover area outside for people to smoke
The house rules will be explained to you when you call for a reservation or when you arrive.
CAN I STAY THERE FOR OTHER REASONS?
YES, IF THERE ARE SUFFICIENT ROOMS AVAILABLE GUESTS ARE WELCOMED. WHETHER JUST PASSING THROUGH OR MAKING THAT INFREQUENT TRIP TO THE CITY. CALL AND ASK FOR VACANCIES.
